Erik A. Ward DC, CSCS, CCSP
Dr. Erik Ward graduated from the University of Florida in 1993 and attained his doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University in 1997. He has practiced in Northern Virginia since 2000. He is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist, as a professional chiropractic sports physician, in functional movement systems and as a L2 CrossFit trainer.
Specializations
Dr. Ward has a special interest in working with athletes because he is an athlete himself. It is for this reason that he understands the demands an athlete puts on his or her body and their need for special attention. Dr. Ward has competed at the national level as a Triathlete completing 2 full Ironman races. He earned an invite in 2017 to compete at the US national championship at the Olympic distance triathlon. He also coaches Crossfit and has earned his level 2 certification.

Dr. Ward is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine, the District of Columbia Health Department, the Georgia Chiropractic Board of Examiners and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the American Board of Chiropractic Physicians, the Virginia Chiropractic Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Northern Virginia Chiropractic Association.
Accomplishments
Dr. Ward has been noted in the who’s who of Northern Virginia in 2008 and 2012 for his practices with the Washington Redskins, the Washington Wizards and the USA female rugby team. Dr. Ward appeared as a guest on Channel 9’s “A New Me” to discuss conditions chiropractors typically treat and specific aspects of what “Functional Rehab” is and how it is applied in today’s rehabilitation clinics. Dr. Ward has attained his certification in Dry Needling, Active Release Therapy, Graston Technique and Pulse Electromagnetic Therapy.
